Sun MyWifi Settings

Quick Step Sun MyWifi (Pocket Wifi)

  1. Insert Sun Broadband SIM Card to the device - make sure device is not connected to power supply when inserting the SIM card
  2. Plug the cord (220V) and connect the SBW Wi-Fi Router to the CPU through the LAN cable. Press the power button found on the router and wait for PC’s Network Connection to connect to the router.
  3. Open a browser and go to http://192.168.1.1/
  4. Select ‘admin’ as the user type
  5. Default password is ‘admin’
  6. Go to Quick Setup and click Next
  7. On the configure PPP Profile Settings page:
    1. Dial-up number is always *99#
    2. APN should be Static and type in:
    • REMINDERS
    • mbband for Plan 1399
    • fbband for Plan 799, Plan 649 and Easy Broadband
    • minternet for Prepaid and SBW Plan 350 Lite
  1. IP Address is recommended to be set at Dynamic
  2. Click Next

On the configure PPP Dial-up Settings page, leave PPP connection and authentication as default values. Click Next.
On Configure WLAN Settings:
    1. Name (SSID): User to set-up the router name. This is the name of the router that should appear when its broadcasting.
    2. SSID Broadcast - set to Enabled. This turns Wi-Fi broadcasts on.
    3. Click Next
  1. On Configure WLAN Security:
    1. Encryption Mode: Set encryption type to WEP
    2. Network key will serve as the password to filter access to authorized users. Type in 13-digit alphanumeric characters to set password with WEP as encryption type.
    3. Click Next
  2. The next page will display the router configuration. Click Finish.
